I hope he suffers.

Trump and Melania have tested positive for COVID-19.

I hope he suffers.  I hope he has nightmares for weeks, that the fatigue hits him like a ton of bricks.  I hope he wheezes and chokes and gasps for air.  I hope he shits himself while struggling to breathe, that he loses all sense of dignity.  I hope he has to be intubated and put on a ventilator.

I don't care if he dies.

On one hand, I hope he has a miserable, wretched next six weeks - long enough to watch the Republican party crumble to its knees - before his fucking heart explodes.

On the other, I hope he loses, survives, and has to go to trial for all of his crimes.  I want to see him fall.  I want to see him burn.

I don't care about the high road.  I hope he goes down and that the Republican party goes with him. Their unwavering support, blatant cronyism, and feckless willingness to put party before county.

Why?

In the name of the 7.31 MILLION Americans who have had this.  In the name of the 208 HUNDRED THOUSAND countrymen who have died.  In the name of over 2 MILLION people who have lost a direct family member, never mind friends or colleagues.

In the name of the American public, who have literally been lied to and gaslit and abused.  Who have been treated like the sacrificial lambs while he sits on his throne of gold, spewing bile and mocking the very people he has sworn to protect.

"On October 1, alone, we learned that a study of more than 38 million articles about the coronavirus pandemic between January 1 and May 26 published in English shows that Trump was 'likely the largest driver of… Covid-19 misinformation.' The Cornell University study found that 37.9% of misinformation mentioned Trump."

I hope he reaps what he sows.  I hope he suffers the consequences of his actions, of his hubris.

He had a fucking manual.  He threw it out the window because of his jealousy and insecurity regarding Obama.

Kushner had a plan.  And decided to withhold it, as the highest outbreaks at the time were states with Democratic governors.  He and the rest of the administration were willing to sacrifice the lives of any American in order to make the Democrats look bad.

As I wrote elsewhere (in response to some snitty bitch about taking the high road):

Trump has spent the last six months gaslighting and abusing the American public. He has refused to take this virus seriously, when it has killed over 208 HUNDRED THOUSAND Americans. That number is approaching WWII losses, which we will no doubt reach in a number of weeks. As a reminder, it took America FOUR YEARS to reach that number, including the losses at Pearl Harbor.

He was *literally* left a handbook on how to deal with a pandemic, but threw it out due to his jealousy of Obama. Kushner made the decision (with T's blessing) that since the highest rate of infection was initially in Democrat-govered states, that the virus would be allowed to run unchecked *in order to make Democrats look bad.* Trump *literally* sacrificed American lives in order to look good.

Trump knew MONTHS ago that this was a highly virulent disease. He literally *lied* to the American public about it, gaslighting the 2 MILLION people who have lost a direct family member.

Is it to much to ask that Trump reap what he has sowed? Is it too much to ask that he experience the consequences of his actions?

On behalf of everyone who has lost someone, on behalf of struggling long-haulers, of the self-employed who have lost their businesses, of the employees who have lost their jobs and their health insurance, of the people who have held the hands of their loved ones--and those who were not allowed to--I think that anger is a perfectly normal, human, and *healthy* response.

Fuck him.  Fuck that motherfucker.

There's concern that he's faking it, and I get that.  The White House doc released a statement agreeing, but we all know better than to trust this sheisty bunch.

I hope he suffers. 

Release the schadenfreude.

EDIT:  He's now being sent to Walter Reed, even though his symptoms are "mild."  Please, karma, have some justice.
