Massage chair and being loved
May. 4th, 2005 08:17 pmBought my chair today. MSRP=$500+. We normally sell it at $475; on sale this month for $459. As an employee, I get 10% off non-sale items. Ergo, it would have been cheaper for me to buy it when NOT on sale, but oh well.
Went in, picked out the chair (black!), and went to the bathroom while the credit card machine was taking its own sweet time for Greg.
When I came back, I found that Greg had overridden his usual policy and given me 10% off the sale price, knocking my cost down to $440. In talking with Sandy later, she said that Greg had gone back to his file cabinet to check and see what he’d paid--basically, seeing how far he could push it and losing all profit on the sale.
I told him I felt so loved. And I do. :)
